FPS Chancellery of the Prime Minister - Directorate General External Communication

A meeting of the Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) will be held on Thursday, 24 March 2022 at NATO headquarters in Brussels. The summit, chaired by Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, was convened in connection with the current crisis in Ukraine.

On the sixth anniversary of the attacks of 22 March 2016, a moment of remembrance will be held this Tuesday to pay tribute to all victims of acts of terrorism perpetrated in Belgium and to all Belgian victims of terrorist acts committed abroad.

This year again, the ceremony for the National Holiday on the Place des Palais in Brussels will take a new twist. In order to honor all those who have given it their very best since the beginning of the pandemic, the military and civilian parade will be dedicated to them. It will also be elevated with artistic performances from five unique locations in Belgium.

On the occasion of Belgian National Day, on 20 and 21 July the FPS Chancery of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Defence, the FPS Home Affairs and the federal and local police, in close cooperation with the Association for the Advancement and Promotion of Brussels, are organising a host of activities for the general public in Brussels. National Day is intended to be a large-scale popular event, offering our fellow citizens the chance to celebrate in the heart of our capital.
