Federal Government Debt at the end of June 2022

Press release from the Belgian Debt Agency:

As of the end of June 2022, the federal government debt amounted to EUR 471.587 billion. This debt has thus increased by 7.94 billion euros over the past month.

In net terms (after deducting placements and securities held in portfolio), the federal government debt rose by 2.94 billion euros to EUR 451.184 billion. 

The net balance to be financed amounted to EUR 2.966 billion in June.

The average maturity of the federal government debt increased by 0.05 year to 10.42 years in June 2022, while the average interest rate of the debt instruments slightly increased to 1.34%. The 12-month and 60-month refinancing risks amounted to 13.18% and 36.56% respectively.
