Prime Minister De Croo will welcome Chancellor Scholz for a Belgian-German Energy Summit on Tuesday 14/2 (Zeebrugge)
Prime Minister Alexander De Croo will host German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Zeebrugge on Tuesday 14 February for a Belgian-German Energy Summit.
Minister of Energy Tinne Van der Straeten and Patrick Graichen, State Secretary for Economic Affairs and Climate Action will also attend the talks.
The aim is to strengthen energy cooperation so that Belgium and Germany can strengthen their energy independence. Strengthened energy cooperation between Belgium and Germany is important for the future of the industrial sectors in both countries and to smoothly transition to a climate-neutral economy.
The Belgian and German delegations will discuss, among other things, efforts in electrification, LNG, hydrogen and carbon capture.
