Enabel, the Belgian state-owned enterprise for international cooperation, announces the appointment of its new board of directors. In a global geopolitical context marked by multiple crises – protracted conflicts, climate change, migratory pressures and the questioning of multilateralism – this new team intends to strengthen Enabel’s position as a strategic instrument serving Belgian and European foreign policy.

Enabel, the Belgian agency for international cooperation, and AB InBev, the world’s leading brewer, are entering a long-term strategic collaboration to accelerate sustainable development across agricultural value chains, advance the circular economy, and strengthen water stewardship and climate resilience in partner countries.

Belgium and Mozambique are deepening their partnership in renewable energy through a cooperation model that is designed to mobilise climate finance, strengthen institutions and unlock private investment. The cooperation is being highlighted this week during RENMOZ in Europe, a two-day event taking place in Brussels where Mozambican government and European private-sector are engaging on how to translate national energy commitments into structured, investment-ready programmes.

This year, Enabel, the Belgian agency for international cooperation, asserts its leadership role by uniting partners from very different horizons and signing three landmark Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with SNV, with Global Citizen and with a large multinational company.

On Friday 28 November 2025, Enabel and VIVES University of Applied Sciences entered into a partnership to strengthen education and health care in Ukraine and East Africa. The partnership builds on the framework cooperation agreement signed earlier this year and heralds a new chapter in Belgium's contribution to international solidarity and reconstruction.
