The Belgian Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 342.88 billion as of 31 July 2010. Debt issued or taken over by the federal government amounted to EUR 342.44 billion and the institutions for which the federal government supports the debt service registered a debt of EUR 0.44 billion.

The KINGDOM OF BELGIUM, rated Aa1/AA+, intends to issue a new syndicated 10 year benchmark bond (OLO 61) today.

The new OLO will have a maturity of 28th September, 2021.

The Kingdom has mandated BNP Paribas Fortis, RBS, SGCIB and UBS Investment Bank as joint bookrunners.

Within the framework of its announced Buyback program for bonds coming to maturity within 12 months, the Belgian Debt Agency has started quoting bid prices on a special window on the MTS AM electronic platform as of today September 29th, 2010 to buy back its OLO 36 (ISIN : BE0000296054).

The current outstanding of the bond is 12,390,400,000 EUR, it is maturing on 28th  September  2011.
