Press release from the Belgian Debt Agency:

As of the end of December 2022, the federal government debt amounted to EUR 470.612 billion. This means that this debt increased by EUR 130.4 million compared to November.

In net terms (after deducting placements and securities held in portfolio), the federal government debt increased by 639.3 million euros, to 460.323 billion euros.

The net balance to be financed in December was EUR 503.1 million (to the detriment of the Treasury).

Record amount of EUR 7.0 billion for the new 10-year Belgian OLO 97

On January 10th 2023, Belgium issued a new 10-year OLO with maturity date 22 June 2033. OLO 97 has an annual coupon of 3.00% and was issued at a price of 99.799%, resulting in an annual cost of 3.024%.

The strong demand for this transaction and the high quality of the orders ultimately made it possible to place 7.0 billion EUR with domestic and foreign investors. This is a record amount for a new 10-year OLO.

Payment date 17 January 2023. Short first coupon on 22 June 2023. Listing Brussels.
