On the occasion of Belgian National Day, on 20 and 21 July the FPS Chancery of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Defence, the FPS Home Affairs and the federal and local police, in close cooperation with the Association for the Advancement and Promotion of Brussels, are organising a host of activities for the general public in Brussels. The Belgian Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 391.40 billion as of 30 June 2018.
Debt issued or taken over by the federal government amounted to EUR 391.16 billion, and the institutions for which the federal government supports the debt service, registered a debt of EUR 0.24 billion.
In net terms (i.e. deducting financial deposits and investments, as well as securities owned by the Treasury), the Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 378.04 billion.

As part of the NATO Summit, taking place on 11 and 12 July 2018 in Brussels, the Belgian Federal Authorities are organising a programme for the Heads of State’s and Government’s spouses.
