The Minister of Finance, Koen Geens, announces :

The Kingdom of Belgium intends to issue a new syndicated 10 year benchmark bond maturing 22nd June, 2024 (OLO 72) in the near future, subject to market conditions.
The Kingdom has mandated BNP Paribas Fortis, Citi, Crédit Agricole CIB and J.P. Morgan as joint bookrunners.  The auction scheduled for 20th January, 2014 is cancelled.

The Belgian Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 377.19 billion as of 30 November 2013. Debt issued or taken over by the federal government amounted to EUR 376.86 billion, and the institutions for which the federal government supports the debt service, registered a debt of EUR 0.33 billion.
In net terms (i.e. deducting financial deposits and investments, as well as securities owned by the Treasury), the Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 368.07 billion.
