On Monday 3 June, the Kingdom of Belgium issued within the framework of its EMTN-programme a new 5-year bond in USD at a spread over mid-swap +38 bps.

The Belgian Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 370.54 billion as of 30 April 2013. Debt issued or taken over by the federal government amounted to EUR 370.20 billion, and the institutions for which the federal government supports the debt service, registered a debt of EUR 0.35 billion.
In net terms (i.e. deducting financial deposits and investments, as well as securities owned by the Treasury), the Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 364.56 billion.
