The Belgian Federal Government Debt amounted to EUR 368.91 billion as of 31 January 2013. Debt issued or taken over by the federal government amounted to EUR 368.56 billion, and the institutions for which the federal government supports the debt service, registered a debt of EUR 0.35 billion.

The United Nations has chosen for this year's observance of the Day of Commemoration the theme of Rescue during the Holocaust: the courage to care.
