10 MILLION SUSPICIOUS MESSAGES SENT TO SAFEONWEB IN 2023

Last year, alert citizens sent us almost 10 million messages to suspicious@safeonweb.be. By 2022, that figure had already risen to 6 million. On average, we received 27,000 messages a day. February 2 2023, was a record day, with 65,645 messages!

Federal Government Debt at the end of 2023

As of the end of 2023, the federal government debt amounted to EUR 505.298 billion. Federal government debt thus decreased by EUR 1.54 billion in December. On an annual basis it increased by EUR 34.69 billion.

In net terms (after deducting placements and securities held in portfolio), the federal government debt increased by EUR 930 million in December to EUR 487.377 billion. The annual increase of the debt in net terms amounts EUR 27.05...

7 billion EUR for the new 10-year Belgian OLO 100

Largest ever orderbook for OLO 100


On January 9th 2024 the Kingdom of Belgium kicked off its 2024 funding with the launch of its first syndicated OLO. The new 10-year OLO with maturity date 22 October 2034 has a coupon of 2.85% and was issued at a price of 99.788%, resulting in a re-offer yield of 2.874%.

The 75 billion euro orderbook was the largest ever for an OLO benchmark. The high quality of the orders allowed 7 billion EUR to be placed with domestic and foreign investors.

New OLO 100 - Pricing

The 2.85% EUR 7 billion OLO100 benchmark issue, maturing 22 October 2034 for the Kingdom of Belgium (rated Aa3/AA/AA-; outlook stable/stable/negative) is now priced.

Issue/Reoffer price 99.788, to yield 2.874%, equivalent to 24 bps above midswaps.

Payment date 16 January 2024. Short first coupon on 22 October 2024. Listing Brussels.

Belgian law. No XD, no NP. FM2 (with prior consultation with the issuer) applies.

Fees total 17.5 cts.
