Companies can now really get down to business

Belgium is the first European member state to fully implement the new NIS2 legislation. These rules significantly strengthen the level of cyber security. An estimated at least 2,500 Belgian organisations are required from today to register on the website atwork.safeonweb.be and take security measures.  They thus hold the key to taking their cyber security to the next level.

Within its cash management and in order to cover short term cash needs, the Belgian Debt Agency announces that it will organize an additional auction of Treasury Certificates on Tuesday, 29th October 2024 at 11:00 CET.

During this auction, a new Treasury Certificate will be issued, ISIN BE0312804769, with maturity 18th December 2024. The initial target amount of the issuance during this auction will be between EUR 3,5 billion and 4 billion.

As of the end of September 2024, the federal government debt amounted to EUR 520,417 billion. Federal government debt thus decreased by EUR 17.75 billion since August.

In net terms (after deducting placements and securities held in portfolio), the federal government debt increased by EUR 4.10 billion to EUR 505.362 billion. 

The net balance to be financed amounted to -EUR 4.10 billion (to the detriment of the Treasury).
